Biography of James Baushke

Douglas County Commissioner James Baushke moved to Minden, Nevada in 2000 and immediately became involved with local volunteer groups and the local Republican Party. He was appointed by Governor Kenny Guinn as a Douglas County Commissioner in January 2004 to complete the term of a resigned Commissioner. He ran for election and won a full four-year term in November 2004. Upon his appointnment he became a member of the NACO Board of Directors and has served continually in that capacity since January 2004.

Jim is a member of several regional organizations that include Nevada Works, the Carson Water Subconservancy District, and the Commission to Reconstruct the V & T Railway. He is committed to using these memberships to foster productive relationships and networking between state agencies and other organizations that benefit counties throughout Nevada.
