Counties in Nevada play a vital role in public health, serving as a bridge between state systems and the people they reach. From our wide-open rural landscapes and frontier communities to our vibrant urban centers, counties connect health resources to communities in ways that strengthen resilience and support growth.
Keep Nevada Wild, Keep Nevada Well
The Nevada Association of Counties is proud to launch the County Public Health Toolkit, which provides ready-to-use and customizable materials that empower counties to share accurate, trusted health information with their communities. Toolkit assets include:
- Social media posts built into Canva templates.
- One-page factsheets on specific vaccines.
- Community brochures highlighting immunizations for target populations.
All materials can be edited with county logos, local access points, and event information, so each county can make the resources its own.
Toolkit Guides
The toolkit also includes step-by-step guides to support counties and community leaders in planning and implementation:
- Social Media Toolkit – ready-made graphics, sample captions, and strategies to boost engagement online.
- Community Outreach Toolkit – tips, templates, and resources for connecting with residents at local events, schools, and trusted gathering spaces with inventory of local contacts for each county.
- Media Toolkit – County-specific local media inventory, public health talking points, and guidance for engaging local media outlets.
NACO is available to provide hands-on support with planning, adapting, and rolling out these materials to best meet the needs of each county.
Nevada-Versioned Keep It That Way Campaign Materials
Inspired by the CDC’s Keep It That Way campaign, the County Public Health Toolkit offers Nevada-specific videos and billboards that reflect our people and places. These assets bring a local voice to a national message—underscoring that keeping Nevada healthy helps keep Nevada wild, thriving, and well.
Videos are available in web and TV format. They can be shown at outreach events, in Human Services Departments or community clinics, back-to-school events, and more. Unique videos featuring local youth are available for the following vaccine-preventable diseases:

Member counties can contact the NACO Health & Human Services Manager to:
- Request Canva access to editable toolkit assets.
- Obtain county-specific versions of all materials.
- Access the Google Drive library containing the full suite of resources.
